DESCRIPTION:An all day immersive session on researching and planning rides using many of the old and new tools. \nThis is much more than how to use a GPS. \nSome of the topics to be covered: \nSet up and configuration of a Garmin GPS\nDownloading .GPX files from websites to your PC\, phone or GPS\nGarmin’s Drive App.\nUsing downloaded tracks and routes on your GPS\nGenerating rides quickly using Google Maps\nConverting a Google Map to a .GPX file\nBasecamp\nRiding tracks and on the fly routing\nBack Country and off road navigation\nEmergencies\nIn-Reach\, Spot and other communication and emergency signalling devices. \nThis course is tailored to the GPS user with an emphasis on the current line from Garmin.  Users are encouraged to bring their devices for some hands on exercises.  Laptops are also encouraged.  To get the most from the section on Basecamp it is necessary for you to have basecamp properly loaded on your laptop.  hands on technical support will not be available. \n  \n\nRegistration opens soon.
